Let's Start with the Base Unit Rock Bucket

What is a Rock Bucket:
Clear rocks and debris from jobsites. Prepare and clear land for landscaping. Remove rocks, sticks, sod from fields. Clear debris for property maintenance. It also pulls objects from below ground. The rock bucket is the ideal attachment for contractors, farmers, ranchers, rental stores, landscapers, and homeowners with acreage.
How it Works:
Much like a standard enclosed bucket. The exception and difference is the open bottom design. A series of tines, spaced 3 inches apart allows for dirt and debris to fall thought the opening leaving the un-wanted material behind in the rock bucket for removal and disposal. Tines are interconnected to provide strength and durability.
What to Look For In Purchasing a Rock Bucket:
Not all rock buckets are created equal. Most manufactures are claiming "heavy duty" ... are they? Check out these key features. Field proven optimum tine spacing. Spaced far enough apart to allow for rock and debris seperation, yet close enought for object to stays in the bucket while the loose material falls through the tines. Low profile side panels allow for low horse power requirement slicing into the ground. Where other manufactures fails to understand the importance of a "Rock Dam" Nortec offers this very important feature as standard equipment. Rock Dam serves several purposes.
1- reduces rock bounce out, material spillage. 2- In wet pack, your able to work the bucket back and forth (shaker mode) to help break up dirt clumps. 3- Increase strength while no appreciable weight gain. 4- Aid's in containing collected material. 5- If you elect to go for another scoop of material the Rock Dam will reduce processed material from falling forward and out of the Rock Bucket. 6- Added Strength. Torsion bar is designed into the center point (stress area) reducing tine failure. You will enjoy all the benfits of the standard equipment Rock Dam design. Low profile cutter teeth located on the front of the Rock Bucket. There are two theories of engineering thought. One being a smooth edge, much like your current bucket. The other being wide width teeth, protruding out up to 6 inches. Each design works in a special application. The combo tooth offer's you the best of both worlds.
