The NORTEC Dike Force removes rocks and debris, cuts down berms, fills in low spots, cuts water runways, brings in material from the sides and back onto the road, fills in wash-outs, and sets road grade. Collect rock within the end plates for disposal, or remove the end plates and windrow the rock and material either left or right off the road. Excellent for corner de-ridging (cutting down the ridge and bringing material back onto the road.) Remove light brush, weeds and debris.

Performance Packed Features:
Manual or Hydraulic Angle, optional: material side shield ski/shoe/runner, choice of 2 rotors Road Cutter (tooth rotor) or Processing flat bar rotor. Heavy Duty frames, Combo cat 1&2 , Heavy Duty cat 2 hitch or Heavy Duty cat 3. PTO drive. Material processing bar (The material bar controls the amount of material being processed through the processor) Gauge wheels are also standard equipment.

Dike Roads are the life blood of the cranberry marsh. Keeping and maintaining the road system is an important part of an efficient operation. As you can see in this picture, tire tracks are forming, which in a rain storm will collect water. There is also a ridge forming on both sides, thus not allowing the water to drain.

As you can see the ridges on both sides of the road have been removed and can now allow for water drainage. The center groove that was created by tire tracks has now been removed. The windrow down the middle is now the start of crowning the road and once again, allowing water to drain. Reports from the field using a Nortec Road Maintainer state “spraying operators using a larger, heavier spray boom is demanding on the machines, which creates a sway from the boom, and an operator must be attentive at all times”. Having a smooth road makes spraying operation much easier and efficient.
