With the Nortec Time Saver Quick Hitch you never have to leave the tractor because the lower hooks automatically lock the implement into place. Safe - Efficient - Fast
Nortec Time Saver Quick Hitches are one of the biggest time saving innovations you can find for a tractor. With a quick hitch adapter and a quick hitch compatible attachment, you can change rear tractor attachments in a matter of seconds.
The most common 3 Point Hitch has not changed in the last 30 years. The 3 Point Hitch is a love-hate relationship. Attaching an implement can be challenging at times. In some cases it take two people to hook the implement to the tractor's 3-point. We have all been there. Backing up and attempting to hook up to the attachment only to find out your lower draft arms are bellied in. Which means an alignment problem. In some cases this requires another person to hold the arm out so connection can be made. If you're not on level ground, now you encounter that the left and right draft arm pins do not line up. Meaning one side is lower than the other. You are now facing another challenge. This issue may be solved by man-handling the attachment by getting the pry bar out, pulling it into place or re-adjusting the lower draft arm. Which means once the attachment is installed the adjustments are off. That means a trip to a more level surface to re-adjust. At this point you may be thinking there has to be a better way and there is! The Nortec Time Saver Quick Hitch. It's a matter of backing up and clawing into the Time Saver Hitch, it's that easy. In fact, the lower draft arm will auto connect. No need to get off the tractor and push the levers down. Not only is this system a time saver it's also safe, no more pinched or cut fingers.
Special Note: Some attachment manufacturers are not following or designing into their attachment SAE standards. Specifications on the implement / attachment are not always correct. In this case it's impossible to use the Time Saver Quick Hitch. Most quality main line attachment manufacturers engineer and design their implements to accept a Quick Hitch.
What is the difference between Category 1 and 2 tractors?
The lower lift arms on a 3 point hitch cat 1 are 26" wide, with the top link being 18 inches above the center line, between the two lower lift arms. The lower lift pins are 7/8" in diameter, and the top link pin is 3/4". The cat 1 hitch is used on tractors from 20-45 hp. A cat 2 hitch is 32" wide. The top link is located 24" above the center line between the two lower lift pins. The lower lift pins are 1-1/8" inch in diameter. The top link pin is 1" in diameter. The larger Cat 2 hitch is designed for use with tractors ranging from 40-100 hp.

Common Question: Does a 3 point hitch float?
The 3 pt hitch is always in float because the weight of the implement provides the down-force. The round knob (between the seat) will adjust the drag factor on the 3 point hitch bars and they quickly drop.
