The more things change, the more they end up staying the same. 18 years ago Nortec entered the Snow Pusher market. At that time there were only a few manufacturers offering snow pushers. As time went on the market became crowded and problems started arising giving the snow pusher a bad name. Manufacturers were taking short cuts just to reduce the price. What started out as a basic solid design offering the customer an affordable price, turned into several manufacturers using gimmicks to sell their product. Some worked, some did not. Most manufacturers lost focus of what a snow pusher is all about. Nortec exited the market in 2009 and after being out of the snow pusher business for 10 years. Nortec is now pleased to announced the new 2019 model due to demand and Nortec listened to the customers and the snow removal professionals. The message was loud and clear, go back to basics! Very little need or want from customers for flipping blades and hitches just to name a few. The message was clear, the need for low cost, basic and a heavy duty snow pusher. Introducing the new Nortec Utility SP800u, SP1000u Series. The Utility Series "u" is big, bold, heavy duty and has mass amounts of metal designed into the Snow Pusher. It is also manufactured and tested in Northern Wisconsin, "The Frozen Tundra".

When temperatures reach -20 degrees below, steel becomes brittle, welds break and compounts fail. These are conditions warm weather snow pushers can't match.

Not only does this provide excellent durability when the time comes to remove or re-adjust the runner, it reduces the chance of stripping out the bolt due to rust/corrosion is reduced.

Not all snow pushers are created equal! Here's what to look for. Extra heavy duty thick side panels. Heavy duty Ski - Shoe - Runner with gussets. Nortec's pushers have a rounding moldboard vs. kink and bend. What's the difference? Round moldboard will roll the material taking less horse power. Also a round moldboard kink and bend has a flat surface which in heavy snow can plug and take much more power to push.
